The odd thing is that the Holy Quran has indicated that the water source is the sky: (And we have sent down water from the sky in a measured amount &amp; have settled it in earth and indeed we are able to take it away) (Surat Al-Mu\u2019minun: verse:18). And this honourable Ayah\/verse ensures that the source of the water existing on earth is the sky, and this is what is proven scientifically!
