Born and raised in the city of\u00a0Zarqa,\u00a0Jordan. Married and have a child named Saladin. Recently graduated from the\u00a0University\u00a0of\u00a0Alaska,\u00a0Anchorage\u00a0with a Biological Sciences degree and has been an active member of the Islamic Community Center of Anchorage, Alaska since moving to\u00a0Alaska\u00a0in 2003. Taught Arabic and Tajweed classes to the Muslim sisters at the local Masjid on and off in the last 5 years. Also tutored math and science classes at the\u00a0University\u00a0of\u00a0Alaska\u00a0and lectured about women\u2019s right in Islam to various classes at the University.
