In a recent study (published in the journal Nature Neuroscience) scientists found that sleep during the night is not enough for everyone, but must sleep during the day for a short time (i.e. an hour and a half). They have also found that the brain gets tired during the day from the accumulation of knowledge. Thus, it becomes less efficient; consequently, the brain must get some rest. This rest to the brain is a method of rearrangement of information, organizing the vibrations of cells, and to install the acquired information during the day

.

Therefore scientists stress the need for sleep or nap during the day because it strengthens the memory. Scientists found that people who sleep for a short period during the day, their scientific performance is better than others who do not take a nap, and they develop a better memory function.

Scientists further say: The phenomenon of sleep is a miracle that worthy of reflection because it is one of the most complex phenomena. The Glorious Quran has pointed to the importance of sleep during the night and during the day. It confirmed that Sleep is the miracle that we should reflect on.  Allah stated in the Glorious Quran 30:23, ‘And among His Signs is the sleep that ye take by night and by day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken.’
