Secrets of Self (3)

Every 40 seconds someone commits suicide somewhere in this world!  Every year 700 thousand people die…..

11- A good word is charity

The researchers said that the speech which is full of tenderness, passion and compassion has a stunning effect on others, especially between spouses, and reduces to a large extent the problems between them.  There are scientific studies that confirm that good speech gives human higher immune system. Therefore, the greatest prophet, peace be upon him, told us that the good word is charity! Will we think about every word before we say it?!  Al Mighty says, ” Seest thou not how Allah sets forth a parable? – A goodly word like a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the heavens,- of its Lord. So Allah sets forth parables for men, in order that they may receive admonition.” [Ibrahim (Abraham), 24]
12- Coeducation

Newspaper Daily Mail wrote an article about the need to separate children from each other in primary education because information is differently being treated for boys and girls. They found also that the child’s focus to be greater when a child is placed with children of the same sex, i.e. male children in a row and female children in another row, and so they do better scientifically.  Dr. Leonard Sax wrote a book on this subject, trying to prove that co-education is useless. And it reduces competitiveness and opportunities for creativity, and that it is necessary to separate the sexes from the first phase of pre-school, at the five years of age.  Because the speed of learning differs between the sexes, and speed of maturation of each differs as well. Here, we remember the teachings of our religion, which recommended the need to segregate the sexes from each other in education and in sleep, the prophet said, ” And separate them in their beds” And Al Mighty says, “And no wise is the male Like the female. “ [Al ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, 36

13- Treatment with Joy

Some researchers emphasize that positive emotions may directly affect health by altering the chemical balance in the body.  Perhaps the reason in this link is the optimistic trend that helps  in promoting human health through the likelihood of the success of these people in life. We remember the sayings of Al Mighty: “Say: “In the bounty of Allah. And in His Mercy,- in that let them rejoice”: that is better than the (wealth) they hoard.” [Yunus (Jonah), 58]   This verse tells us that the believer rejoices mercy of Allah; this joy is a kind of positive behavior as a kind of optimism, which gives the believer happiness, longevity and increases the body’s immunity against disease. Should we be happy with compassion and grace of Allah?

14- Anger

When man over-reacts, changes in his body occur and the important of them is the secretion of Adrenaline Hormone which affects heart rate, oxygen consumption disorder and hypertension. These symptoms are exacerbated when the man is standing because his body muscles are tight and this increases secretion of adrenaline. If the angry person sat or slept, the proportion of this hormone falls.  If the man remembers meeting Allah and seeking refuge with Him from the evil of Satan and he realizes that this anger is the work of the devil his psychological status will return to stability.  Anger is an emotional stress resulting from the failure to accept an idea or to insist on a certain idea, regardless of whether it is right or wrong.  This is successful medical treatment the Prophet (peace be upon him) talked about: If any of you becomes angry and he is standing, let him sit down, so that his anger will go away. If iit does not go away, let him lie down.” [Reported in the ‘Musnad’ of Ahma)

15- Risks of Anger

A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: Advice me, the Prophet said: “Do not get angry” and he said repeatedly “Do not get angry” [Reported in Bukhari].  There is new scientific research to prove true the words of the Prophet, his warning, and the grave dangers that result from anger and psychological emotions.  When one is angry, his heart pumps large amounts of blood which lead to hypertension, besides, repetition of these emotions over time may lead to cancer and heart attacks.  Hence, it shows to us the importance of the advice of the Prophet (peace be upon him): “Do not get angry” Some recent research shows that the repetition of anger constantly shortens human life because of mental and physical illnesses. Will we imitate the Prophet of Mercy and address this phenomenon?
