After an ant cuts the leaf and carries it to the colony in order to eat it and feed its little ants, some other insects attempt to attack it. Not being able to defend itself due to carrying the leaf with its jaws, the ant carries another ant on top of the leaf to defend it. All Glory to Allah who has taught ants such self-defense techniques, a livelihood method. If it weren’t for such methods, ant community would have become extinct, but it’s the mercy of Allah to all its creatures. Allah says:
“How many are the creatures
That carry not their own
Sustenance? It is God
Who feeds (both) them and you:
For He hears and knows
(All things).” Ankabut or the Spider: 60 (ibid)
